No. 3211 was built by Andrew Barclay Ltd. of Kilmarnock in 1941 and was delivered new to the Royal Ordnance Factory at Puriton near Bridgwater in Somerset. It also worked at the Haunchwood Brick and Tile Co. Ltd. of Stockingford near Nuneaton and Kneshaw, Lupton and Co. Ltd. of Llysfaen Quarry in Clwyd before arrival at Castle Hedingham in March 1984.
