The Colne Valley Railway is in North Essex close to the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire borders. We are 10 miles north of Braintree on the A1017 (formerly A604). We are 2 miles north of the village of Sible Hedingham.

By public transport: The nearest mainline railway station is at Braintree, and a bus service to Castle Hedingham operates approximately hourly to Castle Hedingham from the town centre, Mondays to Saturdays. No Sunday Bus Service.
